Missing Teeth Replacement And Broken Teeth Fixing in Jerusalem
Dr. Heisler’s dental clinic in Jerusalem offers missing teeth replacement, including fixing frontal teeth, building over a broken tooth, replacing and fixing small teeth, and more.
Missing teeth are a two-level problem. The first is the aesthetic level: the lack of teeth stands out when you smile, yawn, or talk (and as a side effect may also damage the confidence), and in some cases negatively affect the shape of the face. And the second level is practical – missing teeth makes it difficult to chew and speak.
How is Teeth Replacement Performed?
There are a few ways to replace missing teeth. For example, if only one tooth is missing while its neighboring teeth are sturdy, braces can be installed over the missing tooth area. While doing so, the teeth are used as a supporting mechanism for the missing tooth: they need to be sawed and then a triple dental crown is fitted, while its middle part supplement for the missing tooth. This dental crown is similar in shape to regular dental crowns (made from metal covered in porcelain or other materials) – but it’s important to note that this solution is not suitable for everyone, since the adjacent teeth must be in good condition to carry that load.
Another option, more suitable in cases where there are many teeth missing, is to reconstruct the teeth using removable dentures. This is a relatively simple solution where temporary plastic dentures are fitted according to the patient’s measurements to fit their teeth perfectly. In that case, the replacement solution doesn’t rely on any other teeth, but over the mouth’s soft tissues. There’s the option of creating fixed dentures or to create temporary dentures.
The other option is dental implantations, so that instead of being supported by other teeth or soft tissues, it is supported by the jaw itself. As part of the process, a titanium implant is inserted into the jawbone, and acts as an artificial root, which a missing tooth can be constructed on using a dental crown. This is a more expensive surgical treatment though it can be an effective and convenient solution.
How to Choose What Tooth Replacement Treatment to Get?
To each of the treatments mentioned above, as well as other teeth supplementing treatments, are advantages and disadvantages. The dentist would always recommend the most suitable treatment for each patient according to their individual needs. The main thing you should remember is that teeth loss, whether it’s from an injury, a fall, a gum disease, or tooth decay – is not unchangeable. You can most definitely have tooth replacement with any number of creative solutions, according to each patient’s health status and budget.
Furthermore, teeth replacement (broken tooth replacement/frontal teeth replacement / broken molar tooth replacement /small teeth replacement) is performed only if the missing or broken tooth causes an aesthetic or practical discomfort, but if the missing tooth is not necessarily disturbing, sometimes there’s no need to treat it at all.
